11/05/2009 - West Coast Select Training - 2009 Daniel is a two-way player at 2B plus in the OF with a small frame that shows projection as he continues to polish, firming up. Foot speed is below average as he needs to get on a speed / agility program to improve foot quickness for the next level. Feet are active in taking proper routes / angles in tracking down balls in the OF as he works to get behind balls, playing through with momentum to his target with hands and feet working well together in getting rid of the baseball quickly. He shows athletic actions in the OF as he displays solid average defensive abilities. At 2B, He shows a low approach but needs to come get and play through the baseball more with his feet and hands. Glove action is soft, clean, and sure as he funnels balls in. He will benefit by presenting and keeping his hands more down to out in front of his body. Defensive abilities in the middle of the IF are solid average. Arm strength is solid average as he shows life, carry, and accuracy on his throws as he will benefit by getting on a strict long toss program to aid in further developing more arm strength. At the plate is where Pryor shows the best, displaying above average abilities with near above average power through an aggressive approach. He loads well and takes hands directly to the baseball, generating bat speed as he shows a solid feel for the barrel with baseball jumping off his bat when centered. He was 4 for 8 at the event. Daniel has a ton of potential and will get looks from the collegiate coaches as he continues to improve.
