Official Scouting Report

  • Class Rating
  • RHP/2BPosition Projection

05/25/2014 - Interactive Video Program - Murfreesboro (Nashville), TN Daniel continues to work hard on his game. On the mound, he keeps his eyes on the target and works in-line toward the dish. He has on-time separation and strides square. FB tops out at 62 mph while CH is thrown with FB arm speed. More lead arm extension will help him to get better follow through on all 3-pitches. At 2B, Daniel field the ball cleanly, gathers well, and makes accurate throws to 1B. He moves well laterally and makes the plays. At the plate, this RHH shows a balanced approach with a solid base. He is aggressive and takes a hack. He is a hard worker who is determined to get better.

05/19/2013 - Interactive Video Program - Lebanon (Nashville), TN Daniel is an athletic, 2-way player with average size. At 2nd base, Daniel has clean hands, playable feet, and he fields in a low / square position. He makes plays, keeps his eyes behind the ball, and he has accuracy to his target. On the mound, Daniel has a short arm action, eyes on target, and good direction toward home. At the plate, Daniel has a square / athletic set-up, good balance, and a level swing. He swings in good rhythm, works the middle of the field, and he gets his lower 1/2 through. Abilities can improve with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
