06/27/2010 - Team One South 2010
Danny showed similar skills during the Team One South showcase as he did in previous workouts. He is an athletic OF, with good baseball instincts, and good plays skills. Defensively, Danny has quick feet and he tracks the ball well. He is aggressive to the baseball, and works around it well. Danny has an over the top arm action that is accurate to his target. Danny can improve defensively if he can add arm strength and play through the ball more. Offensively, Danny has good balance, good bat speed, and a level swing. He has quick hands and a good feel for the barrel of the bat. The ball jumps off his bat when centered, and with more extension, and better use of his lower 1/2, solid offensive numbers can further improve.
02/07/2010 - National Tryout - Bradenton (Tampa), FL
Danny improved his raw radar velocity and fielding grade during his workout in Bradenton, FL 2/10. Danny's velocity touched 88 MPH, and he improved his fielding grade from 45 to 50. He is a very athletic OF, with excellent footwork, hands, and arm action. He gets a good 1st step on the ball, has great overall actions, and a clean exchange. Danny covers a lot of ground in the OF, and delivers the ball accurately to his target. If Danny can avoid drifting at times to the ball, abilities can continue to improve. Danny is only a 2011 grad, and still has time to improve his overall game.
12/27/2009 - Christmas Camp and Tournament #2
Danny's athleticism was on display in Pirate City, where he showed strong baseball instincts and play skills. He is an athletic player with good hands and feet. He has a loose arm, he throws accurately, and his throws have easy carry to them. He reads the ball off of the bat well and has good enough instincts to play all 3 OF positions. With added arm strength and improved situational play, Danny has time and room for improvement. Offensively, Danny has a solid approach with good bat speed and strength. He has pull side power and the ability to develop power to all fields. With added drill work and repetitions, Danny can improve as a hitter and really turn some heads.
07/17/2009 - College PREP - Sanford (Orlando), FL
Danny is an athletic outfielder with a good build and some raw tools. Mechanics in the outfield are good. Shows carry on throws and a good finish. Approach to the ball could loosen, and his angles to balls can improve as well. Sets up fine in the batters box and has slightly above average hands and batspeed. Path is fine and barrel accuracy is solid. Hands get to the zone late at times and he has some collapse to his back side. Would like to see him stay tall on the back leg/weight between his feet to improve contact. Danny has tools and needs to continue to refine and smooth out.
