01/19/2024 - 2024 Baseball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament Danny is a 2027 OF/LHP prospect that recently showed his skills at the Rookie Pre-Season All-American Tournament. In the OF, he shows off efficient movements to the baseball and does a great job of working behind the baseball. He takes good routes to the ball and gets in a low, on-time fielding position. He fields the ball on the correct side and he presents his hands out in front. He has a clean, 2-handed exchange with a quick arm action that fits the position. He is accurate to his targets. At the plate, he starts in a squared stance with comfortable hands. He has a simple load and very controlled movements in the box. He does a good job of keeping his balance centered through contact and shows off a nice on-plane swing path. He improved on his previous best exit velo with a mark of 75 MPH. He took 4 walks in 5 plate appearances in game action, showing an ability to identify strikes and not chase. On the mound, he throws from a 3/4 slot and features a 3-pitch mix. He has an impressive frontside glove and a relaxed knee lift. His rhythm is good and he gets on-time separation while doing a great job of keeping his eyes on the target. He gets good extension when finishing and does a great job of staying in-line to his target. He showed some tail with his FB and ran the pitch up to 74 MPH. In 3 innings of game action he struck out 3 and allowed only 2 hits and one run. Overall, Danny is an exciting prospect that should continue to develop nicely!

01/13/2023 - 2023 Baseball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament Danny is a 2027 OF/LHP who showcased his skills at the BF Rookie PSAA Tournament. In the OF, he works to get behind ball and showed ability to make routine plays. He throws from a high 3/4 arm slot into infield with an arm velocity up to 64mph. At the plate, he hits from an athletic and even stance with loose hands. Starts with activated hands and smooth timing to his swing. Showed good barrel control as he hit balls to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 65mph. On the mound, he works exclusively from the stretch. He picks up his target early and is balanced throughout his delivery. He attacks hitters with a FB that topped out at 62mph with good movement, and a 2/8 shaped breaking ball. In 3 innings of work, he punched out 5 batters and threw 53% of his pitches for strikes. With 4 years of continued growth and development, we foresee Danny having a bright future on the baseball diamond.

07/16/2022 - Baseball Factory National World Series at IMG Academy - (MS) Danny is a 2027 OF/LHP prospect who showcased his ability at the National World Series. In the OF, he showed athletic actions with active feet and good body control at baseball. Closes distance on batted balls as he works behind/through the ball. Good reads off bat enable him to move well in all directions. Is synched up on his throws as he throws from a 3/4 arm slot with an arm velocity up to 64mph. At the plate, he hits from an athletic and open stance with loose hands. He showed a simple/repeatable swing with good barrel control. A flat barrel path enables him to hit balls consistently to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 67mph during BP. On the mound, he has simple and repeatable delivery. He has a clean arm stroke and strides in line. He attacks hitters with a FB that topped out at 58mph with plus command, and a developing changeup. We look forward to seeing what the future holds for Danny on the baseball field as he enters his 8th grade year.

07/05/2022 - Cape Cod Select Training & Competition (MS) Danny continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. In the OF, defensive abilities have improved as he displays smooth actions. He takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, hitting abilities have improved through an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. Mental makeup is a plus as he works hard and is very coachable.

01/30/2022 - All-In Membership - Fort Myers, FL Danny is an athletic OF/LHP in the 2027 class. In the field, he moves well with active and effective feet. He works to position his body behind the baseball and gets square. He has solid pocket feel and his exchanges from glove to throw are clean. He throws from a 3/4 slot and produces accuracy to the bases. Sinking his hips and working through the baseball will allow him to generate leg drive and create more carry on the baseball. On the mound, he demonstrates efficient balance and maintains his eyes to the target. He uses a 2-pitch mix that finds the zone with regularity. His FB topped at 55 with slight tailing action. His CH has good feel and sat 50-51. Generating more arm speed will allow him to release out in front and work downhill for a bottom half zone presence. At the plate, he has an advanced setup for line drive production. Can generate power (72 exit velo) with his athleticism. Load his body prior to contact with strong barrel feel. Overall Danny has solid starting points to make great advancement on the diamond.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
