08/12/2010 - Under Armour All-America Game 2010 RH power bat with plus bat speed…aggressive, advanced hitter who makes consistent hard contact…middle-of-the-order run producer at the next level…sure hands and plenty of arm for the left side of the infield…committed to the University of Georgia…son of former ML Player, Dante Bichette. 2010 Tournament of Stars Selection. 2010 Central Florida Player of the Year.

01/15/2010 - Under Armour Pre-Season All-America - 2010 Dante showed very good skills during his time at the UA Preseason All-America. He improved his 60 time to 7.25 and his home to 1st down to 4.57. Dante showed excellent hands, feet, and strong / accurate arm across the diamond. He fields the ball out in front of his body, works through it well, and shows great glove work. On the mound, Dante's FB touched 89 MPH and he gets good extension on his pitches. He has an athletic delivery, throws downhill, and works quickly. With continued work on command, Dante can become even better on the hill. Offensively, Dante has very good balance and bat speed. He has strong / quick hands, stays inside the baseball, and gets good extension. The baseball jumps of Dante's bat, and he has a good 2 strike approach in game play. His power grade improved from 55 to 60, and with a more consistent load, and less pre-pitch movements, Dante could get even better!

07/12/2009 - Team One South 2009 Dante is a young two-way player that shows as a 3B and RHP with a solid, strong, and athletic looking body. He was the top prospect at the event and has a tremendous future in the game of baseball. Currently, he projects best at 3B. Foot speed is solid average and he utilizes his athletic feet well through the fielding and throwing process, displaying outstanding defensive abilities. Arm strength is well above average as indicated by his top velocity of 88 mph. His throws display life, carry, and accuracy. At the plate, Bichette has well above average hitting abilities and power. He hits missiles with the baseball jumping off his bat. Hands are quick and direct to the baseball, generating plus bat speed as he keeps the barrel behind and through the baseball at contact. He was 1 for 4 with 4 quality at bats at the event. On the mound, fastball shows run and sits 84-88 mph. Breaking ball is above average with a near above average change up as he shows a plus feel for. He will play in the Under Armor All American game at Wrigley. With 2 years to further develop, Dante will be a solid draft pick and get a ton of attention from the top D1 programs.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
