12/27/2023 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 Daryn continues to show as a prospect with his baseball abilities at the Pirate City Christmas tournament. In the OF, he displays smooth fluid actions. He takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls plays through with momentum to his target. He utilizes foot quickness in covering a lot of ground. Throws are accurate with online carry to his target. At the plate, he shows a wide setup. Hands are quick mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He has strength in his swing and shows a feel for the barrel with gap-to-gap pop. Lower half works well through the swing as he transfers weight into a firm front side. Daryn is a for sure player to keep an eye on.

11/11/2023 - National Showcase - Palmyra (Harrisburg), PA Daryn is a 2025 OF/3B prospect with a lean frame that recently showed his skills at the National Showcase in Palmyra. At third, he shows off active, efficient feet and range to both the glove side and backhand. He gets in an athletic fielding position and works hard to field the ball out in front with soft hands. His backhand impresses and he makes all the routine plays. He has a clean exchange and makes consistent throws with a loose arm action. In the OF, he has active feet and does a good job of centering the baseball. He gets in a squared fielding position and fields the ball out in front and high. His exchange is quick and clean and he shows off a strong arm with a quick release. He recorded an impressive raw velo of 91 MPH, improving on previous marks. At the plates he starts in a closed stance and has a solid base. He has smooth rhythm and timing and he does a great job of keeping his balance centered. He shows off fast bat speed with an on-plane swing path and an impressive hip turn when finishing. He gets good extension on pitches down in the zone. He works the middle of the field and squares the ball up consistently. Overall, Daryn is an intriguing prospect that we are excited to see more of as he continues his growth!

08/14/2023 - National Showcase - York, PA Daryn is a talented OF/3B in the 2025 class. On the grass, he has fluid actions and covers his defensive zone well with 7.14 speed. Takes excellent angles and works to stay behind the baseball. Gains an athletic fielding position and his exchanges are clean. Arm plays at 84 and is accurate back to the dirt. In the infield, he moves well from side to side and he shows solid range to both his glove and arm side. Gathers himself well and stays directional to his target. At the plate, shows solid actions and an athletic feel. Generates proper extension through the baseball with an on-plane swing. Creates consistent contact to the pull side. Working to keep his hands inside the baseball will allow for more full field production. Overall, Daryn proves he can play numerous positions well and scouts like his swing. He is a great follow in the 2025 class.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
