08/17/2018 - College PREP - Sioux Falls, SD Daulton is an athletic 2019 SS prospect whose skills jump out on the field. He can pick it at short with athletic actions and feel for the game, making all the plays. He has quick twitch actions and funnels the ball well to make tough plays. He plays through the ball and shows multiple arm angles to get rid of it quickly. A long toss program will improve arm strength and make him a complete shortstop. At the dish, he shows spray tendencies with excellent barrel control to hit the ball hard consistently. His strong lower half whips his hands and bat through the zone and through the ball as he hits lasers all over the field. Daulton is a player who is knocking on the door for the next level.

02/28/2016 - College PREP - Sioux Falls, SD Daulton continues to show tremendous strides and improvements in his baseball abilities. Defensive abilities in the MIF are now outstanding, displaying smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active / aggressive as he moves well side to side, flashing range. Glove action is soft / sure as he presents well out front. Hands / feet work well together and his gets rid of the baseball quickly with accuracy / carry on his throws. He shows big play potential in the MIF. At the plate he continues to shine, displaying outstanding hitting abilities with well above average power potential. Hands are quick and work to and through a level swing path, creating extension. He has strength in his swing and utilizes his lower half aggressively with the baseball exploding off the bat when centered. Hands work inside the baseball as he utilizes all fields, displaying gap to gap pop. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 72-74 mph with arm side run. He maintains arm speed on his changeup and is a work in progress. Getting on a long toss program will help to increase arm strength which will aid in his development on the mound. With 3 years to further develop, Daulton has the makings of a special type player and will get looks from the collegiate coaches, possibly as a 2-way guy.

01/15/2016 - Baseball Factory All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament Daulton flaunted his best skills to date with Baseball Factory at the All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament. Offensively, he had a smooth and controlled load to get ready to hit and delivered the barrel on a direct path to contact. He sprayed the ball to all fields, using his hands and hips together to generate good bat speed. Defensively at short, he worked efficiently with his footwork and controlled his body to make plays with a sure glove. He had a good arm stroke to throw and threw from multiple slots with accuracy and strength. On the hill, he threw a FB with sink from a repeatable delivery with good feel. He got to a good balance point and finished with his chest over his front. In all - Daulton is a 5'10/165 lbs SS/RHP that has time on his side to continue developing and strengthening his game.

12/20/2015 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 1 Daulton showed strengths and consistency in his ability on all sides of the diamond at the Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City. Defensively at short, he worked with active feet to get his body into position to field with a sure glove. He got the glove into a good position on-time and flashed a clean exchange to get ready to throw. Improving his footwork through the fielding position to throw was a focus throughout the camp, and he became more accurate across the diamond in just a few short days - showing great aptitude. Offensively, he showed good barrel accuracy and had a patient approach with good feel for the strike zone. He rotated his core to accelerate through the zone and worked on implementing more lower half drive with fluidity. On the hill, he threw a FB with sink, and showed a CH with sink as well. He threw strikes and repeated through his release point, consistently. In all - Daulton is a team player that has good aptitude and projects with present skill in many areas of the game.

03/14/2015 - Interactive Video Program - Sioux Falls, SD Daulton is a skilled 2-way player (SS/RHP) who has a solid/athletic build (5'8"/150). With the bat, this strong righty shows a square setup with a solid base. He has rhythm to load waiting for his pitch. Swing is compact as he hits the ball where it's pitched and drives it to all parts of the field. At SS, he puts his athleticism on display working quickly on the balls of his feet. He funnels smoothly to a clean exchange and fires accurate throws across the diamond. On the mound, Vanderloo has a 3-pitch mix coming from a 3/4 arm slot. FB shows run and ranges from 71-74 mph. He works the ball to both sides of the plate and throws strikes. Breaking ball has gradual action with 10/4 shape. He gets good glove side lead, stays directional and repeats his delivery well. Overall abilities in his game will improve with work on the following.

07/26/2013 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City Daulton is a young player who plays the game the way it's supposed to be played. In the infield, he has an athletic fielding position and a short, accurate throwing motion. He has sure hands and effective footwork, and always makes the routine play. He can work on his lateral quickness to increase range, and also on his arm strength. On the mound, Daulton has a controlled balance point and separates on time. He gets good extension which helps create some sink on his pitches. He can work on his tempo and not rushing when he is working from the stretch. He can also work on getting more drive to the plate with his lower body which will lengthen his stride and allow him to finish in a more athletic position. At the plate, Daulton has good, centered balance and a smooth load. He has a good level path and consistently puts the barrel on the ball. He can work on landing softer on his front foot and getting more out of his lower half to help create more power. Overall, Daulton attitude and work ethic will be the reason that he has success in baseball.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.
