07/16/2022 - Baseball Factory National World Series at IMG Academy- Session 1 (HS) Davian is a tall and lean SS/RHP in the 2023 class. In the field, he has smooth actions and is a reliable defender. He is athletic in his set-up and plays low to the ground. Fields out in front and his exchanges are clean. His body is in sync with his high ¾ release and has the arm strength (81-2 velo) to fit the position well. On the mound, he pitches to contact and fields his position well. He stays tall on his backside and gets down the hill effectively. Works with good tempo and keeps his defenders engaged. His FB topped at 76 with tailing actions. His CB sat63-4 with 10/4 shape and tight spin. His CH sat 69-70 with sink. At the plate, he has advanced barrel feel and works gap-to-gap. Has plus bat speed (84 exit velo) and his swing is fluid and on-plane. Has a controlled stride and stays centered. Staying in his legs longer will add future power potential. Overall, Davian is a hard worker and strives to get better each day on the field. He has a bright future on the diamond.

11/07/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Sanford (Orlando), FL Davian continues to show as a prospect on the diamond. At SS, defensive abilities are solid as he shows smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active as he attacks balls and plays through with his body. Hands are clean and presents well out front. He moves well laterally with range improving as he continues to increase foot quickness. Throws are accurate with carry (82 mph velocity) across the diamond. At the plate, he shows an open setup. Hands are quick (80 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Lower half works well through the swing and shows a feel for the barrel. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 70-73 mph. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with sinking action. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

06/18/2021 - Baseball Factory All-State Tournament (HS) Davian is a RHP/2B prospect who will graduate in 2023. Decent frame athletic build with a projectable frame and room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.71 60-yard dash. At 2B, efficient feet and a good pre-pitch routine enable him to create good fielding angles in all directions. Works low to high with a square fielding position and a clean exchange. Showed ability to throw from multiple arm slots with accurate/on-line throws across diamond at 82mph. Right-handed pitcher who gathers over rubber and has a compact delivery. Showed good mound presence and works with good tempo. Throws a FB that sat 72-74mph with some movement through the zone. Mixed in an 11/5 shaped breaking ball with good depth when he keeps fingers on top of ball. A right-handed hitter, he hits from an athletic and even stance. Short hand path who gets on-plane and stays flat in the zone. Showed ability to spray balls to all fields. Reached base 3 times and had a bat exit velocity of 77mph in live game action. With 2 more years of continued growth and development, we foresee Davian having opportunities to play at the next level.

02/28/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Daytona Beach, FL Davian continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. He did show on the mound for the first time at the event. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. At the plate, hitting / power potential has improved through a squared, athletic setup. Hands are quick (83 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. At SS, defensive abilities have improved as he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are active as he attacks ball and plays through with his body. Glove action is firm and presents well out front. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 60-68 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with cutting action but throws too hard resembling fastball. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

08/02/2018 - Baseball Factory Pro Select Training at Historic Dodgertown (Ages 12-14) Davian is an athletic and talented 2023 utility prospect that made several adjustments throughout the week at Vero Beach. At SS, Davian makes good double play feeds, has a clean exchange, and makes accurate throws. He needs to continue to presents a low/early glove, be on time with his prep step, and work from the ground up. Continuing to practice game like throws in his throwing program will increase his ability to throw from multiple arm angles and on the run. At the plate, Davian starts in a closed stance, loads his hands back into the drive position, and clears his backside to the ball. He needs to continue to get his front foot down on time and hunt the fastball. Davian will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

05/13/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Tampa, FL Davian is a young, 2-way player who plays SS and catcher. At SS, Davian has efficient footwork, good range, and he presents his glove well. He fields cleanly, has a quick exchange, and throws with accuracy from a short/quick AA to his target. Behind the plate, Davian has a presentable glove, he sticks it well, and tries hard to block in front. He has a long arm action to 2nd base with pop times as low as 3.27. At the plate, Davian has an open stance, he loads well, and stands-in well balanced. He swings in good rhythm, has a direct barrel, and gets his lower body through. Davian can improve overall skills with work on the following.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
