11/07/2021 - All-In Membership - Sanford (Orlando), FL David is a lean SS who will graduate in 2023. At SS, defensive abilities are solid as he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are aggressive as he works around and plays through balls more with his body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. He moves well laterally and utilizes his foot quickness (7.19 60 time) in covering a lot of ground in the MIF. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows an open setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He makes consistent hard contact through a line drive approach. Hitting grade will continue to improve as he works to get stride foot down sooner to work on time. Power will continue to increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. With 2 years to further develop, David has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
