05/31/2015 - National Tryout - San Antonio, TX Hamilton continues to shine. Offensively, this top of the line-up type of guy has a knack for barreling up the ball along with lightning quick speed (6.44 60 yard dash). He has quick hands whipping the barrel on a level path driving the ball and using the entire field. At SS, David has quick/athletic actions moving fluidly around the GB. He has plus lateral range getting to almost everything hit his way. He is quick to get rid of it, firing strong throws (88 mph) across the diamond. David is an exciting prospect that will play at a very high level.

02/02/2014 - College PREP - Houston, TX David is a solid SS that will graduate in 2016. Currently, he projects best at SS for the next level. Foot speed is outstanding. Defensive grades are well above average, displaying clean/smooth actions. Feet are active/aggressive as he moves well laterally and works to square balls up, displaying soft/sure hands. He shows off his athletic abilities on his feeds of the double play. Throws are accurate with carry across the diamond and gets rid of the baseball quickly. Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
