09/03/2021 - Baseball Factory's All-Region Tournament (HS) David is a SS prospect who showcased his skills during the All-Region Tournament. At SS, David fields with soft hands and shows the ability to throw from multiple arm angles. At the plate, this switch hitter displays a plus approach and gets into a stacked load, producing strong contact. Overall, David is a solid prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

01/15/2021 - 2021 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament (FL) David is an extremely talented 2023 prospect. His calling card is his bat. He swings with authority from both sides of the plate and has rhythm and barrel accuracy both ways. He is balanced throughout with a simple stroke both RH and LH that makes for an efficient swing and lots of hard contact. There is some pop present already and that will continue to increase. As a defender, David picks his hop well and is very comfortable going right or left to make plays. A young player who is confident to his backhand is not easy to find. Overall, David has the makings of a high level infield prospect with an impact bat.

09/04/2020 - HS All-Region Tournament David continues to show as a prospect on the diamond with improvements in his baseball abilities. At SS, defensive abilities are well above average as he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are active as he works around balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. Throws are accurate with carry (85 mph velocity) across the diamond. At the plate, he continues to shows as a switch hitter with excellent abilities from both sides. Hands are quick (82 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields well through a line drive approach.

01/17/2020 - 2020 Baseball Factory All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament David is a MIF prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the field. In the field, David shows smooth footwork and is agile moving to the ball. He gets into a low position and fields the ball out in front with sure hands. He throws from a high 3/4 angle and keeps his throws accurate to his target. At the plate, this switch hitter sets up in an open stance with comfortable hands. He is controlled getting into a simple load and drives through well with his lower half. He takes a level swing with plus barrel control, leading to solid contact. Overall, David is a solid prospect who has the potential to further develop his skills on the field.

09/29/2019 - National Tryout Plus - Sanford (Orlando), FL David is a talented athlete who is fun to watch. In the MIF, quick/fluid actions allow him to work naturally through the baseball as he has a quick release with accuracy on his throws across the diamond but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. In the OF, he takes proper routes / angles in tracking balls down. He works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. At the plate, he continues to show as a switch hitter with similar abilities from both sides. Hands are quick and work through a line drive approach. Power is best shown as a LHH to the pull side.

01/18/2019 - 2019 Baseball Factory All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament David is a 2B/OF prospect who showcased his skills at the All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament. In the field, David takes a good first step and displays active footwork. He gets into an atheltic position and fields the ball out in front of his body with sure hands. He makes a clean exchange and gains momentum well on his throws, keeping them accurate to his target. At the plate, this switch hitter shows a solid swing from both sides. He sets up in an athletic stance and takes a controlled stride. He gets into his load on time and hits against a strong front side. He takes a smooth swing with plus barrel control, leading to solid contact to all fields. With four more years to develop, David has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

04/29/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Fort Myers, FL David showed nice improvements in his game during his last workout with the Factory. This switching hitting 2-way player improved hitting and defensive grades at both positions. He is equally as good from both sides of the plate currently. From the left side, David has a balanced set-up, fast bat speed, and he stays inside the ball well. From the right, David has solid separation, a direct barrel to the ball, and he can work it to all fields. In the OF, David has an aggressive approach, soft hands, and a quick 1st step. He takes good routes, makes plays, and has an accurate arm to his target. At 2nd base, David has good pre-pitch actions, he fields the ball cleanly, and has an accurate arm to his target. Overall abilities can improve with work on the following.

08/03/2017 - Baseball Factory Pro Select Training at Historic Dodgertown (Ages 12-14) David is a coachable 2B/OF prospect who worked hard on his skills during his time at the Baseball Factory Pro Select Training at Historic Dodgertown. In the field, David fields the ball out in front of his body and funnels well to his chest. He has a clean exchange and gains momentum on his throws which allows them to remain accurate and on-line to his target. David can improve defensively by working on his foot quickness to improve his range. At the plate, this switch hitter shows well from both sides of the plate. He sets up in a square stance and takes a short stride. He is smooth getting into his load and finishes with a firm front side in his lower half. He takes a direct swing path with fast bat speed which leads to consistent contact and line drives. David can improve as a hitter by working to maintain center balance in the box. With six more years to develop, David has the time and potential to further progress his game.

04/30/2017 - Interactive Video Program - Fort Myers, FL David is a 2B/OF who will graduate in 2023. Defensively at 2B, he's efficient on his feet as he gets into a square fielding position. He has a clean exchange and plays through the ball towards his target. In the OF, he makes good reads as he tracks down hard-hit fly balls. He hustles to get behind the ball and makes accurate throws to his target. With the stick, David displays smooth rhythm to load. He tracks and explodes his lower 1/2 spraying pitches to all parts of the field. Overall abilities in his game will improve with work on the following.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
