12/27/2016 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 David is a lean, lanky RHP/2B prospect who is currently slightly more developed as a position player. He does display a fluid delivery on the mound, creating a good downhill angle to make it tough on hitters. He explodes to the plate with a strong lower half and generates arm whip with hip rotation and a strong front side that leads to signs of command and good movement on his pitches. His fastball that can hit 80mph shows late run and sink and his curveball flashes as an out pitch with 11-5 break. At the dish, he has a square, quiet setup with good tracking ability to pick pitches up early. His hands work well to the ball and he stays inside and is able to use all fields, making consistent contact. Incorporating his lower half will allow him to use his long levers to generate bat speed and allow him to impact the ball, resulting in more base hits. At second, he shows a good prep step to get in position and plenty of range to cover his position with lateral agility. His hands work well to field and turn DP's and he shows a quick release and accurate arm to get rid of the ball and make good throws. David is a solid prospect who we think can make some noise as a prospect for the next level.
