01/12/2024 - 2024 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament Davin continued to show well at the Preseason All American showcase. At 3B, defensive abilities are outstanding as he displays smooth / fluid actions. He starts in an athletic ready position and fields in a square position. Glove action is sure and present well out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. Throws are accurate to his target. At the plate, he shows a tall setup. Hands are quick (82 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side. Lower half works well through swing with an aggressive hip turn. Overall, Davin is a talented prospect who has the skill set to contribute at the next level.

08/13/2023 - National Showcase - Honolulu, HI Davin is a 3B who will graduate in 2024. Medium frame thick build with strength present and room to add throughout. At 3B, starts with a prep step, with active feet, and has good body control at the baseball. Works from right to left and fields from an athletic fielding position with hands out front. Made accurate and on-line throws to first base, with momentum to his target, and an arm velocity up to 77mph. At the plate, he hits from an athletic and even stance. Gets his hands separated, with a short glide step, and hits into a firm front side. A direct barrel path enables him to hit balls hard to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 88mph. With another year of development, we foresee Davin making huge strides on the baseball field.

06/09/2023 - 2023 Baseball Factory All-State Tournament Davin is a solid 3B/RHP who has a promising future on the diamond. At 3B, he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean but needs to present more out front. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. At the plate is where he shows best, displaying solid hitting abilities with outstanding power potential through an open setup. Hands are quick (87 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He has strength in his swing with power showing best to the pull side. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. At the event, he was 3 for 5 with 2 2B. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 74-77 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with running action. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Davin has potential with time and room to progress his game.

08/11/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Waipahu (Honolulu), HI Davin is a young, solid, 2-way player who catches and plays 3rd base. Behind the plate, Davin has soft/presentable hands, efficient footwork, and he covers ground well. He has good pre-pitch actions, he moves well laterally, and he throws with a short arm action to 2nd base. At 3rd base, Davin has a soft/presentable glove, good body control, and a quick arm with momentum across the diamond. Offensively, Davin has an athletic stance, a short stride, and he swings in good rhythm. He makes consistent contact, hits with strength to the pull side, and he uses his lower body. Davin can improve skills with work on the following.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
