06/01/2019 - 2019 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's National West Daylen is an athletic SS prospect who will graduate in 2020. In the field, Daylen gets into an athletic position and fields the ball out in front with soft hands. He makes a quick exchange and gets rid of the ball quickly, keeping his throws consistent with carry through his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a square stride. He takes a level swing with plus bat speed and good extension, leading to loud contact and hard line drives into the gaps. Overall, Daylen is a talented prospect who will be one to follow going into his senior season.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
