06/22/2019 - Omaha National World Series - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Daymon continues to show as a top prospect on the diamond. Behind the plate, pop times showed in the 2.48 range with accuracy to his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Hands are soft / sure and he sticks balls in the zone. He utilizes his body well through the blocking process, centering balls well out front. At the plate, he continues to shine through a squared setup. Hands are quick and work to and through a level swing path. He works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap pop. Mental makeup is a plus as he is a team player, coachable, and plays the game hard.

11/08/2018 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition in Arizona (Ages 14-18) Daymon continues to show a promising future on the diamond. At the plate is where he continues to show best through a tall, closed setup. Hands are strong and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent contact with power showing best to the pull side. He utilizes his lower half well and shows a feel for the barrel with baseball jumping off the bat when centered. Behind the plate, pop times showed in the 2.38 range with accuracy on his throws. Feet are active working in line through a clean transfer / exchange as he gets rid of the baseball quickly. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program and works to get rid of the baseball quicker. Glove action is soft as he sticks balls well in the zone. He uses his body well through the blocking process, centering balls well out front. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable, works hard to be the best player he can be, and plays with a lot of energy.

07/08/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Portland, OR Daymon is an athletic 2-way player who catches and pitches. Behind the plate, Daymon sits in well, he has firm hands, and he sticks the ball well. He moves well laterally, keeps it in front when blocking, and has a clean exchange with pop times as low as 2.38 to 2nd base. At 3B, Daymon has efficient footwork, clean hands, and he fields in a square position. He has a quick exchange and an accurate arm with carry across the diamond. Offensively, Daymon has an open stance, a short stride, and good balance. He has a fast/direct barrel to the ball and uses his lower body well. Daymon can improve skills with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
