09/03/2021 - Baseball Factory's All-Region Tournament (HS) Dellan is an OF/RHP prospect who showcased his skills during the All-Region tournament. In the field, Dellan shows active footwork and makes the routine plays. He works through the ball and makes accurate throws with carry through his target. At the plate, this RHH works through a direct swing and follows through with good extension, producing solid contact. On the mound, Dellan gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a clean arm and finishes with a controlled landing. Dellan operates with a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 77mph with arm side run. Breaking ball sits from 68-71mph with 11-5 break. Changeup sits at 69mph with arm side run and sinking action as he throws with deceptive arm speed. Overall, Dellan is a solid prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

12/14/2019 - Nor Cal Regional Offensive Skills and Pitching/Catching Combined Weekend (Ages 14-18) Dellan is a coachable RHP prospect who worked hard on his skills during the Accelerated Training Weekend. On the mound, Dellan shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 63mph with tailing action. Breaking ball sits from 57-59mph with 11-5 break. Changeup sits from 57-60mph. Loosening his arm action can help Dellan improve as a pitcher. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a tall stance and takes his stride on time. He is smooth getting into his load and maintains center balance. He takes a direct swing with decent bat speed, leading to consistent line drives. Dellan can improve as a hitter by driving his lower half more. Overall, Dellan is a solid prospect who has the potential to further develop his skills on the field.

06/19/2019 - Baseball Factory Select Training at the College World Series (Ages 12-14) Dellan is a coachable OF/RHP prospect who worked hard on his skills during the Select Training at the College World Series. In the field, Dellan shows proper footwork and gets into a square position. He fields the ball out in front of his body and makes accurate throws with life through his target. Making a quicker exchange can help Dellan improve defensively. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and takes a soft stride. He is controlled getting into his load and maintains center balance in his lower half. He takes a level swing with decent bat speed, leading to solid contact and line drives. Dellan can improve as a hitter by staying compact in his load. On the mound, Dellan gathers over the rubber and works inline towards the plate. His fastball tops out at 67mph with arm side run. Separating his hands later in his motion can help Dellan improve as a pitcher. With four more years to develop, Dellan has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

07/22/2018 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 12-14) Dellan worked out both in the OF and on the mound during his time in Pirate City. Defensively, Dellan has a good 1st step to the ball, he gets in a good ready position, and fields squarely. He makes the routine plays and hits his cut off man. On the mound, Dellan has a clean arm circle, he stands over the rubber well balanced, and keeps his eyes on target. He has some glove side lead and a controlled landing toward home. Offensively, Dellan has a loose/relaxed grip, he makes consistent contact, and he swings on plane. He has good separation and hustles down the line.

11/16/2017 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition at Pirate City (Ages 12-14) Dellan continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. At the plate, hitting / power potential has improved through a closed setup. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He works to keep hands inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will continue to improve as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. In the OF, defensive grade has improved as he displays smooth actions. Feet are aggressive as he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He reads balls well off the bat and works to get behind balls but needs to play through with momentum to his target. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 49-51 mph. He slows arm speed on his changeup, tipping off pitch to hitters. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and plays the game hard.

01/13/2017 - Baseball Factory Spring Training in Arizona (Ages 12-14) Dellan is a thin, right handed hitting OF and RHP, who was very polite and team-oriented in his time in Arizona. Defensively, he showed an active setup pre-pitch and worked around ground balls/fly balls well. While fielding, he worked with a low and reliable glove that stayed in the center of his body. Arm was accurate on throws in, however, long tossing to continue to build arm strength will be beneficial for Dellan. Offensively, he showed fine plate discipline and worked the middle and opposite field from a tall setup. Hands were loaded on time and worked on a short and direct path to the baseball. Driving his back knee and hip to the pitcher at the time of contact, will help with power to all fields. On the mound, mechanically he showed a strong balance point, followed by a good drive from his back leg and a glove tuck at the end of his delivery. He displayed a high 40's to low 50's fastball which he was able to throw for strikes, however, adding a changeup to his arsenal to give hitters a different look will be very beneficial in the long run. With still room to grow as a player, Dellan shows promise on both sides of the ball and on the mound. He will be exciting to track as he progresses in this game.

10/16/2016 - Interactive Video Program - Santa Rosa, CA Dellan is an OF/RHP who will graduate in 2023. In the OF, he takes hard angles as tracks down fly balls. He works hard and gives maximum effort to make the tough plays. On the mound, this righty gathers over the rubber and delivers square to his target. He pivots off his back foot and finishes strong towards home plate. With the bat, Dellan tracks the ball well into the hitting zone. He takes aggressive hacks and looks to drive the ball back up through the middle of the field. Overall abilities in his game will improve with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
