04/03/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Stockton (Sacramento), CA Demetrius continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 6.98 runner. In the OF, he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He needs to work to get behind balls more to play through with momentum to his target. He utilizes his foot quickness in covering a lot of ground. At the plate, hitting / power potential through an open setup. Hands are loose and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Lower half works well through the swing as the transfers weight from back side in to firm front.

11/07/2021 - All-In Membership - Walnut Creek, CA Demetrius is a class of 2024 Outfielder. He shows off a medium sized frame with lots of room to continue to mature physically. In the field, he shows quick feet and pre-pitch actions. He works downhill through the baseball and takes decent routes to the baseball. Does a good job getting behind and working through fly balls. Shows a quick exchange and online throws. At the plate, he hits from a square stance. Shows off a line drive approach and sprays it to all parts of the field. Shows good hip rotation at times but would benefit greatly by making sure they rotate on every pitch. Demetrius is a good player that we hope to see continue to develop as his high school years continue.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
