01/12/2024 - 2024 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament Derrion is a 2025 OF/SS who attended the BF Pre-Season All-America Tournament. Derrion showcased great athleticism from the jump running a 6.63 60-yard dash and having an 8’-11” broad jump. Both of which transferred in game. In the OF, he starts from an athletic position, has active feet, and a good pre-pitch step. He attacks the baseball and fields from an athletic position. He has a quick exchange and throws from a ¾ arm slot with online throws. Derrion had great instincts in the outfield and took clean routes to the baseball. At the plate, he starts from a square stance, has a small-simple load, and short stride. He has a strong lower ½ and gets good extension through the middle of the field. In the game, Derrion picked up a pair of hits one of which was a double. Already bringing great athleticism to the table, we foresee Derrion continuing to catch the eyes of college coaches.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
