07/22/2021 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (MS) Destin is a coachable SS/RHP prospect who worked hard on his skills during the National World Series at Pirate City. In the field, Destin shows efficient footwork and is agile covering ground. He fields the ball out in front of his body and has a clean exchange. He gets rid of the ball quickly and makes accurate throws to his target. Getting into a lower fielding position can help Destin field ground balls more efficiently. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance with loose hands. He rotates his core through well and drives the ball from gap to gap. Destin can create more consistent contact by working a smoother load into his swing. On the mound, Destin gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works inline toward the plate and finishes with a controlled landing. Destin operates with a two pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 71mph with cutting action. Breaking ball sits from 58-60mph with 11-5 break. Lengthening his arm action can help Destin improve his pitch command and velocity. With four more years to develop, Destin has the time and potential to further build upon his skills on the field.
