09/02/2022 - Baseball Factory's All-Region Tournament (HS) with Video Showcase Devin is a solid INF/OF in the 2023 class. In the field he looks athletic and has active feet. Plays low to the ground and stays square to the baseball. Has clean exchanges and can use multiple arm slots based upon his fielding zones. His throws are accurate with strength behind the baseball. In the OF, he works behind the baseball and takes solid angles. At the plate, he catches numerous barrels. He begins with an open stance and his hands are comfortable. Uses a small load and is on-time with the pitch by staying inside his legs. His path is on-plane and generates consistent contact. His hips and hands are in sync and creates line drive production. Overall, Devin is a player to watch in the 2023 class as scouts predict a great year for him this spring.

08/04/2022 - Baseball Factory Summer World Series at the NY Mets Spring Training Complex Devin is a 2B/OF prospect in the class of 2023. He shows off very impressive athletic ability. In the field, he showed clean actions at both positions. Did a very good job activating his feet through pre pitch steps. Fielded from a low and out front position. Did an excellent job creating momentum to throw and delivered strikes all weekend. At the plate, he started in a square and tall stance. Showed off a very advanced approach that worked gap-to-gap and led to him hitting a double in game action. Showed very quick hand speed and good feel for the barrel. Devin is a very talented young prospect that has a bright future; we hope to see him again soon.

12/27/2021 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 Devin is a 2B/OF prospect who showcased his skills during the Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City. In the field, Devin shows active footwork and fields in an athletic position. He gets rid of the ball quickly and makes accurate throws to his target. Taking a quicker first step can help Devin make more plays. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and creates good separation. He works through a level swing and produces solid contact. Devin can barrel up more baseballs by keeping his head on the ball throughout his swing. Overall, Devin is a solid prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

09/03/2021 - Baseball Factory's All-Region Tournament (HS) Devin continues to show shine at the All Region baseball tournament. At 2B, he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are active as he works around balls but needs to play through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. He moves well laterally with range improving as he increases foot quickness. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows a balanced setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach.

08/01/2021 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (HS) Devin is a 2023 2B/RHP prospect who worked hard on his skills during the National World Series at Pirate City. In the field, he starts on the balls of his feet and has athletic actions. He fields from an athletic/low fielding position and fields the baseball out front with soft hands. Creates momentum to his target, with ability to get rid of the ball, and throws from multiple arm angles. Has a short/quick arm, with accurate throws, and an arm velocity up to 78mph. Devin plays the game hard and is vocal on the baseball field. At the plate, he hits from an even and athletic stance with loose hands. Has a short barrel path and showed good barrel control. He sprayed line drives to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 70mph during BP. During the games, he reached base 4 times with 2 singles and 2 base on balls. On the mound, he starts square on the rubber and is confident on the mound. He works with good tempo and has loose/quick arm action. A 2-pitch pitcher with his fastball sitting 73-74mph and a 10/4 shaped breaking ball. In 1 inning of work, he punched out 2 and didn't allow a hit. For Devin to be the player he wants to be, he will need to control his emotions and his language. With 2 years of continued growth and development, we see this 2-way prospect having a bright future on the baseball field.

02/12/2021 - Baseball Factory Opening Day Classic (HS - East) Devin is a hard-working and engaged 2B that continues to grow and develop. At 2B, Devin shows good instinct to the ball off the bat with athletic footwork. He can improve his range by continuing to get faster. He fields the ball low and square with confidence and makes clean exchanges. Devin keeps momentum to his target and gets rid of the ball quickly delivering the throw with accuracy to the target. Hitting, Devin sets up in a square stance with a loose and comfortable load. He shows good timing getting your foot down on time and rotates well to deliver a smooth and on plane swing. His approach is solid by being aggressive on good pitches. Devin has continually showed improvement from event to event, and we look forward to seeing his continued growth.

01/08/2021 - 2021 Baseball Factory Pre-Season Prospects Tournament (HS) Devin is an athletic SS/OF in the 2023 class with a great skill set. He has a high baseball IQ and is a scrappy/hard-working player who is a lot of fun to watch. At SS, he starts in an athletic position and uses efficient/smooth footwork to react to GB's hit to his right and left. He presents his glove out in front attacking the ball in a low/athletic fielding position while using a clean exchange. He creates momentum into a quick release throwing the ball accurately across the diamond. A long toss program will be beneficial to aid in increasing his arm strength. He shows well at the plate, as this righty takes the box in a balanced/athletic stance. A smooth/on-plane swing path makes him a tough out as he battles and works the count. Devin has a simple approach, spraying the ball back up the middle of the field. Only a 2023 grad, Devin has time to grow and will be an exciting player to follow as he progresses.

12/27/2020 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 Devin is an athletic OF/2B that shows the potential to be a guy that can play multiple positions. At 2B, Devin shows an athletic ready position allowing him to field the ball low presenting a strong glove to field. He creates good momentum towards his target as he exchanges the ball. His arm works from the 3/4 arm slot delivering the ball to the target with accuracy. Devin also shows grit when he plays the field laying out for balls as he plays an aggressive defense. At the plate, he shows an open stance with comfortable hands. His stride is on time and controlled as he fires his lower half through. Devin gets the barrel on plane extending through impact allowing him to make consistent contact to all fields. In game, he showed patience at the plate finding pitches he could drive. Devin has continued to make strides as a baseball player and we are excited to see his potential.

08/20/2020 - Summer Pro Training Experience - NY (HS) Devin continues to shine on the diamond. In the OF, he displays smooth / fluid actions. He takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. At 2B, feet are aggressive as he attacks ground balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach.

07/06/2020 - National Evaluation and Tryout - New Britain (Hartford), CT Devin is a R/R 2B who graduates in 2023. Defensively, he displays active footwork and is aggressive to come and get the GB. He tracks the ball into a soft mitt, gathers well and has a clean transfer to throw. DP feeds and turns are smooth with quick footwork around the 2B bag. As a hitter, he shows an athletic setup with centered balance and a solid bae. He takes a hack with intent, looking to drive the ball. He squares the ball up and shows some pop to his pull-side. Letting the ball travel deeper into the zone while working to create more extension through contact will help to improve skills at the plate. Ryan has tools with still time to develop and physically mature.

02/22/2020 - Baseball Factory Mid-Atlantic Offensive Skills Weekend - Columbia, MD (Ages 14-18) Devin continues to work on and develop his skills. During the Baseball Factory Offensive Skills Weekend, he showed his coachability and tries to implement what he's being taught. This righty sets up square and an athletic/closed stance. He keeps his head quiet, tracks pitches into the zone and waits for one he likes. He squares the ball up, swings against a firm front side and looks to drive the middle of the field (exit velocity now of 71 mph). Devin needs to work on striding square as he tends to start closed and stride closed. As he works to stride more square, it will allow him to engage his lower 1/2 more resulting in even more pop off of the barrel. This 2023 grad is a hard worker who will only continue to improve.

01/17/2020 - Baseball Factory's Spring Training Tournament at Pirate City (Ages 14-18) Devin showed a spike in defensive abilities in the OF and hitting during his time in AZ. Defensively, Devin has a quick 1st step off the bat, footwork is efficient, and he fields athletically. He takes good angles, gains momentum through, and throws with a short/loose arm with accuracy to his target. Offensively, Devin's hitting grade spiked to 40. He stands in comfortably, he swings on plane, and makes solid contact. He rotates his core properly, and can spray to all fields.

12/15/2019 - College PREP - Madison (NYC), NJ Devin continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. At the plate, hitting potential has improved through a crouched setup. Hands are loose and work to and through a level swing path. He works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. At 2B, defensive abilities have improved as he displays smooth, clean actions. Feet are aggressive as he active but needs to attack balls more and play through with his body. Glove is clean and presents well out front. In the OF, he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind but needs to play through more with his body. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program.

12/07/2019 - Mid-Atlantic Regional Offensive Skills Weekend (Ages 14-18) Devin is an OF prospect who worked hard on his skills during the Accelerated Training Weekend. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and is fluid getting into his load. He leads well with his lower half and takes a level swing, leading to loud contact and line drives. Taking a shorter stride can help Devin improve as a hitter. Overall, Devin is a solid prospect who has the potential to further develop his skills on the field.

11/08/2019 - Baseball Factory's Fall Classic Tournament at Pirate City Devin is a coachable OF/2B prospect who worked hard on his skills during the Fall Classic at Pirate City. In the field, Devin shows smooth footwork and fields in a low position. He makes a clean exchange and throws from a high 3/4 angle, keeping his throws accurate to his target. Taking a quicker first step can help Devin improve defensively. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance with comfortable hands. He gets his hands activated well and takes a level swing, leading to solid line drives. Devin can improve as a hitter by continuing to add strength. Overall, Devin is a developing prospect who has the potential to further progress his skills on the field.

10/26/2019 - Mid-Atlantic Regional Offensive Skills Weekend (Ages 14-18) Devin is an OF/2B prospect who worked hard on his skills during the Accelerated Training Weekend. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and takes a short stride. He gets into his load well and hits against a strong front side. He gets good extension through the ball, leading to loud contact and line drives. Working on his contact points can help Devin improve as a hitter. Overall, Devin is a solid prospect who has the potential to further develop his skills on the field.

07/21/2019 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 12-14) Devin is an OF that showed to be a tough player. In the OF, Devin is unafraid to make plays. He shows good prep work getting into good positions fielding the ball square. He presents his hands well making a 2-hand exchange. His arm action is clean as he makes accurate throws to the infield. At the plate he sets up square with low hands. His foot gets down on time as he fires his lower half through. He gets the barrel on plane with consistent and hard contact showing a line drive approach. Working on getting stronger will be a big part of Devin's development. Devin is young and will continue to grow into his body.

06/19/2019 - Baseball Factory Select Training at the College World Series (Ages 12-14) Devin is an athletic outfielder that will graduate in 2023. In the outfield Devin shows athletic and active feet. He works behind the ball well, fielding athletically with soft hands. His exchanges are clean and creates accurate throws to the infield. At the plate Devin sets up in a square and athletic stance with high and loose hands. His stride is square and short with fluid rhythm. The barrel gets on plane with the pitch with a short and compact swing. Devin shows the ability to create consistent contact to all fields. Some things that can help improve Devin's game are long toss and physical strength. (Pushups, sits ups, etc.) Devin still has several years to grow and develop and we look forward to seeing his progress.

03/02/2019 - Mid Atlantic Regional Hitting Weekend (Ages 12-14) Devin is a coachable OF prospect who worked hard on his offensive skills during the Accelerated Training Weekend. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a short stride. He is fluid getting into his load and hits against a strong front side. He gets good extension through the ball with decent bat speed, leading to loud contact and line drives. Continuing to add strength can help Devin improve as a hitter. With four more years to develop, Devin has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

12/27/2018 - Baseball Factory Winter Classic - Session 2 (Ages 12-14) Devin is a coachable OF/RHP prospect who worked hard on his skills during his time at the Winter Classic. In the field, Devin takes a good first step and displays efficient footwork. He gets into a square position and fields the ball out in front of his body. He makes a clean exchange and takes an efficient shuffle, keeping his throws accurate with good life through his target. Smoothening his release can help Devin improve defensively. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance with his hands held high. He works to barrel up the baseball with decent bat speed, leading to solid contact to all fields. Devin can improve as a hitter by working a smoother load into his swing. On the mound, Devin starts with a simple rock step and gathers to a balance point over the rubber. He separates his hands on time and works with a clean arm, staying inline towards the plate. Devin shows a two pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 60mph. Changeup sits at 53mph as he throws with deceptive arm speed. Extending through his release can help Devin improve as a pitcher. With four more years to develop, Devin has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

12/08/2018 - Mid-Atlantic Regional Hitting Weekend (Ages 12-14) Devin is an athletic and talented 2023 prospect that made several adjustments throughout the Mid Atlantic Hitting Weekend. At the plate, Devin starts in an athletic position, loads his hands back into the drive position, and keeps his head down at contact. He needs to continue to create backside rotation with his lower half, and hunt fastballs early in the count. Devin will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

08/18/2018 - National Tryout Plus - West Harrison (NYC), NY Devin worked out at 3 positions during his last event with The Factory. In the OF, Devin showed good pre-pitch actions, active footwork, and soft/presentable hands. He works behind fly balls well, has a clean exchange, and throws with momentum toward his target. On the mound, Devin has a loose arm action, he separates on time, and he works down in the zone. At 2nd base, Devin has active feet, good range, and he fields aggressively. He makes plays consistently and has an accurate arm to his target. Offensively, Devin has a simple/athletic approach, he swings in good rhythm, and can hit to all fields. He makes level/consistent contact and uses his lower body.

08/02/2018 - Baseball Factory Pro Select Training at Historic Dodgertown (Ages 12-14) Devin is a fiery competitor who gives it his all on the field. He shows feel to hit with hand-eye coordination to deliver the barrel. He shows pitch recognition to stay back on breaking balls and has a direct path to the ball. His lower half generates bat speed to make consistent, spray contact. In the outfield, he has active feet to work behind and get through the ball. He is athletic to field will soft hands and has a quick exchange to throw. On the mound, he works heavily with the fastball, being aggressive in the zone. He works with good tempo in his delivery and pounds the bottom of the zone to induce weak contact. Extending through his finish will improve control and velocity. Devin is a prospect we look forward to continue following.

03/25/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Madison (NYC), NJ Devin is a young, 2-way player with a lean frame. In the OF, Devin has active feet, he fields low and athletically, and he plays through the ball well. He has soft hands, a clean exchange, and throws with accuracy to his target from a loose arm action. On the mound, Devin has a clean arm action, good direction toward home, and he competes in the zone with his pitches. Offensively, Devin has a square/athletic set-up, a short/square stride, and good balance. He has a simple/aggressive swing and makes consistent contact. Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
