12/20/2016 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 1 Devin is a coachable player who continues to work hard on his skills. At the plate, this righty has a square/balanced setup with a solid base. He tracks pitches out of the pitchers hand, into the zone and off of the barrel. He has a great eye as drew 4 walks at the event (going 3 for 4 with 3 singles and a sacrifice fly). Added power will come with more use of his lower 1/2. At 3B, Devin hustles around the GB into a square fielding position. He gathers well, has a clean exchange and fires strong throws with zip across the diamond. On the mound, this RHP stays directional and is aggressive attacking the zone and challenging hitters to swing the bat. FB continues to sit in the upper 70's. Breaking ball has 10/4 shape and compliments his FB well. He also fields the position well and moves to back-up bases. Finishing with more extension on his follow through will help effectiveness on all pitches. Sempert is a solid 2-way player who should find success in this his senior year.
