10/16/2011 - College PREP - St. Louis, MO Devin continues to improve in many areas of his game. He improved his arm strength up from 75 to 78 mph. His overall arm grade improved as well showing more carry to his throws. His pop times went from a 2.38 average down to 2.25 with more accuracy as well. His overall defensive evaluations improved both in blocking and receiving from his earlier workout. A few areas to continue to work on defensively is more flexibility, a wider stance, quicker feet to throw and a relaxed glove hand while receiving. At the plate, he continues to show good balance and a square stance allowing him to have a middle of the field approach. Devin is a strong kid and needs to work on a better pre-pitch load with his hands to show more bat speed and get better extension through contact to get backspin on the ball to have more carry to the gaps. Devin works hard and needs to continue to work on overall foot speed and quickness to help his game.
