01/14/2022 - 2022 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament (FL) Diego continues to show shine in his baseball abilities at the Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament. In the OF, defensive abilities are outstanding as he displays fluid actions. He utilizes his aggressive feet as he moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. He displays smooth / clean actions with hands / feet working well together through the fielding process as he gets rid of the baseball quickly with accuracy and carry (93 mph velocity) on his throws. At the plate, he shows an athletic setup. Hands are quick (87mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap to gap pop. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 75-80 mph. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with sink. Knuckle ball dances with sinking action. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Diego has potential and will get looks from the collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities.

05/31/2021 - All-In Membership - Jupiter, FL Diego is a strong OF prospect who will graduate in 2022. In the field, Diego shows active footwork and covers ground well. He gets into an athletic position and fields the ball out in front with soft hands. His exchange is clean and he gets rid of the ball quickly, making accurate throws with carry through his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a tall stance and takes a short stride. He is smooth to load and drives through well with his lower half. He works through a short swing with fast bat speed and good extension, leading to loud line drives and gap to gap power. Overall, Diego is a talented prospect who has the potential to contribute at the next level.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
