01/13/2023 - 2023 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament Diesel is an athletic, strong SS who showed as a top prospect at the Pre-Season All American Tournament. At SS, defensive abilities are at a pro level as he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active as he attacks ball and plays through with his body. Hands are firm and presents well out front. Throws are accurate with carry (90 mph velocity) to his target. He utilizes his foot quickness (6.68 60 time) in covering a lot of ground in the MIF. At the plate, he shows as a switch hitter with excellent hitting / power potential from both sides. Hands are quick generating bat speed to and through a short / direct / level swing path, creating extension. He has strength in his swing (91 mph exit velocity) with gap-to-gap pop. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. Diesel has a big upside and will get looks from the top collegiate coaches and pro scouts with his baseball abilities.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
