07/31/2014 - Baseball Factory Pro Select Training at Historic Dodgertown Digger is a young two way player, who is coachable, and learns well. On Defense Digger is a hard nosed infielder, and will always get his body behind the baseball and knock it down. He needs to work on his fielding position, by keeping his hands out infront, and his head down on the baseball. At the plate he shows the ability to track the baseball into the hitting zone, and keeping his head down on the baseball. To improve the swing, he needs to work on fine tuning his load and keeping his weight centered.

06/17/2014 - Interactive Video Program - Charleston, WV Digger is a talented 2-way player (2B/OF) who can swing it. Offensively, he shows a well balanced approach with a solid base. He is aggressive and is looking to take a hack. Swing path is level as he squares the ball up and drives it. At 2B, he is aggressive as he comes to get the ball. He works into a low/athletic fielding position and makes the plays cleanly. In the OF, he takes a quick first step with solid routes/angles. He catches the fly-ball at it's highest point and has a clean exchange to throw. Overall abilities in his game will improve with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
