He works hard to center the ball, covers ground, and tucks his chin when blocking. Dillan has firm hands, a clean exchange, and throws with a long arm action to 2nd base. At the hot corner, Dillan has good actions, efficient footwork, and he fields squarely. He makes the routine plays and throws with some accuracy across the diamond. At the plate, Dillan can switch hit and is currently better from the right side. He has good strike zone awareness, he stands in squarely, and can hit to all fields. From the left side, Dillan tracks well and swings a level stick.

Dillan continues to shine on the diamond with improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. At the plate, hitting abilities has improved through an open setup. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. Behind the plate, feet are active as he works in line through a clean transfer / exchange. Pop times has improved as he threw his lowest time to date at 2.83 with accuracy on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program and works to get rid of the baseball quicker. He shows a solid setup, sticks balls in the zone and utilizes his body through the blocking process but needs to work to get down sooner.
11/04/2021 - Baseball Factory Select Training at Pirate City
Dillan is a coachable C prospect who worked hard on his skills during the Select Training at Pirate City. Behind the dish, Dillan sits in a low stance and presents a good target to the pitcher. His exchange is clean and he makes accurate throws to the 2B bag. He is on time moving to block and covers up well, keeping dirt balls in front of him. Keeping his elbow outside of his knee can help Dillan improve his receiving skills. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a relaxed stance with comfortable hands. He gets into a small load and drives through well with his lower half. He works through a level swing and sprays the ball to all fields. Dillan can generate more pop off the barrel by continuing to develop his lower half strength. With six more years to develop, Dillan has the time and potential to further build upon his skills on the field.
