01/15/2021 - 2021 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament (FL) Dillon is a talented/athletic (5'11"/175) two-way prospect (SS/RHP) in the class of 2022. He has a good feel for the game in every aspect and plays at a very high level. At SS, he shows his agility through fluid footwork, getting to any ball with ease. Dillon presents his hands out in front and shows an athletic glove, playing through the ball and creating a quick/clean exchange. Release is smooth and throws are strong/accurate from a high 3/4 arm slot (88 mph). At the plate, this righty steps into the box with a balanced setup using a fluid/on-time motion through his load. He works through his lower half and uses fast hands through an on-plane swing path to create line-drive type contact to all parts of the field (exit velo = 90 mph). He also competes on the mound, with a compact delivery with repeatable mechanics. He attacks hitters with a FB that ranges 81-83 with tail. Developing an off-speed will be beneficial for pitching at the next level. Dillon is a fun player to watch and will attract attention from college coaches as he continues to develop and compete.

09/04/2020 - HS All-Region Tournament Dillon continues to show as a prospect on the diamond. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 7.27 runner. At SS, defensive abilities are outstanding as he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are active as he works around balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. Throws are accurate with on line zip (89 mph velocity) across the diamond. At the plate, hitting / power potential is well above average through an open setup. Hands are quick (86 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He has strength in his swing and shows a feel for the barrel with power showing best to the pull side.

12/28/2017 - Interactive Video Program - Swarthmore (Philadelphia), PA Dillon is a tall, athletic, 2-way player with good skills. At SS, Dillon has quick/fluid feet, he fields in a low/athletic position, and he fields out in front. He moves well laterally, has a quick/clean exchange, and he throws with carry and accuracy to his target. On the mound, Dillon has a good delivery, a loose arm action, and he competes well in the zone with all of his pitches. At the plate, Dillon stands in athletically, he has quick hands, and a short stride. He swings in good rhythm, has fast bat speed, and makes hard/consistent contact. Dillon is a solid player and can improve with work on the following.

Defense
1. Exchange/throws
2. Long toss
Pitching
1. Release
2. Separation
3. Finish
Offense
1. Let ball travel

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
