10/25/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - San Jose, CA Dillon is an athletic 3B/RHP who has a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed is well above average as indicated by his 7.03 60 time. At 3B, defensive abilities are outstanding as displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are aggressive as he works around and plays through balls with his body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. He plays hard and is not afraid to get dirty. Throws are accurate with carry across the diamond. At the plate, he continues to shine, displaying excellent hitting / power potential through a tall setup. Hands are quick (88 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap pop. On the mound, he shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 82 mph. Fastball showed good tailing action. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with arm side run. Off speed stuff show as quality pitches that will get outs. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. With 2 years to further develop, Dillon has the makings of a special type player with time and room to improve his game.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
