12/27/2013 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City Dillon is a solid OF that will graduate in 2015. Foot speed is above average as indicated by his 7.24 60 time. He utilizes his quick / athletic feet well in tracking down balls through proper routes / angles as he plays under control. For defensive grade to continue to improve, he needs to work to get behind balls and play through more with momentum to his target. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program and work to get rid of the baseball quicker to improve arm grade. At the plate, McElwee shows a squared / athletic setup. Hands are loose and work through level swing path. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach. Power numbers will improve as he learns to use his lower half more. Mental makeup is outstanding as he has a positive attitude, is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be. Dillon has abilities with a lot of room to improve.
