03/12/2023 - National Showcase - Glendale (Phoenix), AZ Dillon is a 2026 C prospect from Phoenix, AZ. Behind the plate, he shows off active feet and gives a good target to his pitchers. He throws from a high 3/4 arm slot and makes accurate throws with momentum towards his target. He does a good job of blocking and tucking his chin and keeping his head down on balls in the dirt. His glove gets in a good position to block balls that could scoot under him. At the plate, he features a crouched stance with an on-time stride. His lower half leads and he has a nice on-plane swing path. He squares the ball up consistently and sprays line drives to all parts of the field. He works hard to keep his weight back. He is a hard worker and very coachable on the baseball field!

Academic All-American Tournament (MS) Dillon is a C/1B who will graduate in 2026. Dillon continues to show improvement in his overall baseball skills. He starts with an athletic primary stance and presents a good target pitchers love to throw to. He tracks pitches well and showed ability to beat ball to spot. Throws from a high 3/4 arm slot with an arm velocity of 61mph and a best pop time of 3.5 seconds. A right-handed hitter, he starts with an upright and open stance. Quiet head/eyes allow him to track pitches well with good awareness of the strike zone. Gets on-plane early as he keeps a flat bat through the strike zone. Dillon showed ability to make contact, with a recorded a bat exit velocity of 67mph, during his round of BP. With continued growth and development, we foresee Dillon having a bright future on the baseball field.

11/06/2020 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition in Arizona Dillon is a C/1B prospect who worked hard on his skills during the Select Training & Competition in Arizona. Behind the plate, Dillon tracks the ball into his glove and works to make accurate throws to the 2B bag. Sitting in a more athletic stance can help Dillon improve his overall catching ability. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an open stance and takes a short stride. He is controlled getting into a small load and hits against a strong front side. He works to barrel up the baseball and produces solid line drives. Dillon can barrel up more baseballs by getting more extension through his swing. With six more years to develop, Dillon has the time and potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

01/20/2020 - Interactive Video Program - Mesa (Phoenix), AZ Dillon is a young, thin, 2-way player who plays 1B and catcher. In the INF, Dillon has playable hands and feet, and he takes an aggressive approach to the ball. He stays low, tracks to his glove, and has a consistent arm to his target. Behind the plate, Dillon has efficient footwork, firm hands, and he tracks well to his glove. He sticks it well, gains some ground, and throws with solid direction to 2nd base. At the plate, this RHH has a square stance, good balance, and a level swing path. He swings in good rhythm, makes consistent contact, and shows the ability to spray to all fields. Overall skills can improve with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
