  • OF/RHPPosition Projection

09/29/2019 - College PREP - Sanford (Orlando), FL Dillion is lean OF/RHP who will graduate in 2024 and has a promising future on the diamond. In the field, he gets into a square position and fields with a firm glove. Feet are active but needs to work to get behind balls to play through with momentum to his target. He makes a clean exchange and keeps his throws accurate to his target. Range will increase as he improves his foot quickness. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a tall stance and takes a square stride. He takes a short swing through a level swing path, leading to solid contact. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, he shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 71 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball sits from 62-63 mph with 10/4 break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup, sitting at 61-62 mph with slight sink. Building more arm strength through a long toss program will aid in building more stock on the mound. With 5 years to further develop, Dillion has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
