12/20/2020 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 1 Dillon continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. He did show on the mound for the first time at the event. In the OF, defensive abilities have improved as he displays smooth actions. He takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He work to get behind and plays through with momentum to his target. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, hitting / power potential have improved through a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. At the event, he was 5 for 8. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 68-70 mph. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable.

12/05/2020 - Mid-Atlantic Regional Offensive Skills Weekend Dillon is a coachable OF prospect who worked hard on his skills during the Offensive Skills Weekend. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and takes a short stride. He works through a level swing and produces solid contact. Working a smoother load into his swing can help Dillon barrel up more baseballs. Overall, Dillon is a solid prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

12/07/2019 - Mid-Atlantic Regional Offensive Skills Weekend (Ages 12-14) Dillon is an OF prospect who worked hard on his skills during the Accelerated Training Weekend. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a short stride. He shows fluid rhythm and hits against a strong front side. He takes a short swing with decent bat speed, leading to loud contact and line drives. Working more of a load into his swing can help Dillon improve as a hitter. With four more years to develop, Dillon has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

11/15/2018 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition at Pirate City (Ages 12-14) Dillon is a coachable SS/OF prospect who worked hard on his skills during his time at the Select Training & Competition at Pirate City. Presenting his hands to the ball sooner can help Dillon improve defensively. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an open stance and gets into his load well. He takes a direct swing with decent bat speed which leads to solid contact and line drives. Dillon can improve as a hitter by working a smoother rhythm into his load. With six more years to develop, Dillon has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
