11/03/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Potomac, MD DJ is a young, 2-way player with a thin frame. At SS, DJ has active feet, soft hands, and he covers ground well. He moves well laterally, makes plays consistently, and his exchange is clean with an accurate arm across the diamond. In the OF, DJ has athletic actions and he is aggressive to the ball. He moves with good agility, shows a clean exchange, and solid direction throwing to his target. At the plate, DJ has a square stance, good balance, and a short stride toward the pitcher. He swings on plane and hits with strength to the pull side. Overall skills can further improve with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
