Behind the dish, he presents a soft/sure mitt showing great pocket awareness sticking pitches. He uses his body through the blocking process, centering balls well out front. Pop times showed in 2.00 range with accuracy / carry on his throws. At the plate, he continues to shine, displaying outstanding hitting / power potential through an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He has strength in his swing and shows a feel for the barrel with gap-to-gap pop. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. Dominic has a high skill set and will get looks from the collegiate coaches as he continues to progress his game.

09/28/2022 - Arizona Senior Fall Classic (2023) Dominic is a C/RHP who showcased his skills during the Arizona Fall Classic. Behind the dish, Dominic does a good job of replacing his feet and works with good direction towards second base. Presents a good target and tracks pitches well with an easy sway and athletic actions. Throws from a high 3/4 arm slot with an arm velocity up to 84mph and a best pop time of 2.1 seconds. Made accurate and on-line throws to second base. Has a good spine angle on his blocks and tucks his chin. At the plate, he hits from an athletic and open stance. Has a controlled stride and gets his front foot down on-time. Showed good barrel control as he hit balls into both gaps with a bat exit velocity up to 80mph. In live game action, he reached base 4 times with a double, a single, and 2 base on balls. On the mound, he gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on-time. His shoulders are in line and has a controlled landing. He attacked hitters with a FB that topped 80mph with arm side run, a 10/4 shaped breaking ball that flashes good depth, and a changeup with arm side run that he throws with FB arm speed. In live game action, Dominic struck out batters and threw 61% of his pitches for strikes.

Behind the dish, easy sit who showed good agility and quiet actions. Gains ground with good direction towards second base. Creates good blocking angles and displayed a soft chest as he deaden balls. Showed a quick arm with accurate/online throws from a 3/4 arm slot and an arm velocity of 86 mph and a best pop time of 2.06 seconds. A right-handed hitter, hits from an even stance. Uses lower half with good balance through contact and a fast bat. Flat bat path who made square contact and hit balls into both gaps. With 2 more years of continued growth and development, we foresee him having the opportunity to play at the next level.

01/18/2019 - 2019 Baseball Factory All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament Dominic is an athletic and talented 2023 2-way prospect. In the OF, Dominic is on time with his prep step, he has a quick first step to the ball, and has range in the gaps. He works behind the ball and creates momentum in his lower half when throwing. At the plate, Dominic starts in an open stance, creates rhythm in his lower half, and hits off a firm front side. He attacks the inside part of the ball, makes consistent contact to all fields, and showed patients at the plate with 2 BB in 6 AB's. On the bump, Dominic shows good presence and has good tempo in his delivery. He gathers over the rubber, separates on time, and rides his back leg toward the plate. He's a good pitcher and throws strikes. Dominic has a high baseball IQ and we hope to see his progress in the future.

12/27/2018 - 2018 Inaugural West Coast Winter Classic - La Verne, CA Dominic is a coachable OF/RHP prospect who worked hard on his skills during his time at the West Coast Winter Classic. In the field, Dominic takes a good first step and displays quick footwork. He gets into an athletic position and fields the ball out in front of his body with sure hands. He makes a clean exchange and gains momentum well on his throws, keeping them accurate with good carry through his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a controlled stride. He is controlled getting into his load and drives through well with his lower half. He takes a level swing with good extension through the ball, leading to consistent contact and line drives. On the mound, Dominic starts with a simple rock step and gathers to a balance point over the rubber. He is fluid separating his hands and works with a loose arm, staying inline towards the plate. His fastball tops out at 70mph with good life. With four more years to develop, Dominic has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

11/08/2018 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition in Arizona (Ages 12-14) Dominic is a talented C/2B prospect who plays the game hard. As a right-handed hitter, Dominic has a crouched, open setup with a centered balance. He has fluid rhythm with a good load and short, square stride as he partially uses his lower half throughout his swing. Dominic has an aggressive approach with an on-plane swing path. He lands the barrel to the baseball producing square contact. Dominic attacks pitches in the zone and can drive the ball to each gap. Behind the plate, Dominic shows leadership qualities and plays the position athletically. He stays square to the pitcher and presents a good target. Dominic receives the ball well and does a nice job of framing. He has a clean exchange leading into a short arm action throwing from a 3/4 arm slot. He has momentum through his release showing consistently strong throws to 2B. Dominic is also quick to knees blocking the baseball and recovers well. Overall, Dominic is a versatile prospect who has skill on both sides of the ball.

07/14/2018 - Baseball Factory D.C. All Star Experience (Ages 12-14) Dominic is a coachable RHP/OF prospect who continued to work hard on his skills during his time at the D.C. All Star Experience. On the mound, Dominic gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a quick arm and stays inline towards the plate. He has a two pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 69mph with arm side run. Breaking ball sits from 56-57mph with 11-5 break. Dominic can improve as a pitcher by extending his arm through on his release. In the field, Dominic shows fluid footwork and flashes good range to his glove side. He gets into an athletic position and fields the ball out in front of his body. He has a clean exchange and gains momentum well on his throws, keeping them consistently on-line to his target. 11/09/2017 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition in Arizona (Ages 12-14) Dominic is a lean, wiry two-way player with quick twitch ability to make him a force all over the field. He flashes game changing defensive ability in the outfield with the range and arm that can be used at any of the three positions. He shows athletic actions and quick feet to cover plenty of ground after getting good jumps and reads on the ball. He moves well laterally to field in an athletic position, working through the ball to make strong, accurate throws. At the plate, he takes big hacks as his hands work aggressively through the one and to the ball. His lower half generates bat speed and power on a level, direct path to make consistent, square contact to all fields. On the bump, this right hander showcases a simple, repeatable delivery to get to a consistent release point and finish out front. He has a loose, clean arm stroke and commands his fastball to both sides of the plate. Developing his secondary pitches will allow him to get through lineups easier. Dominic is an exciting prospect who we look forward to seeing continue to develop.

09/10/2017 - Interactive Video Program - Fresno, CA Dominic is a stud, OF/RHP who can swing the bat. Defensively in the OF, he takes active routes/angles as he tracks down fly balls. He takes an athletic crow hop and makes consistent, on-line throws to his target. On the mound, this righty gathers over the rubber with a 3-pitch mix. He delivers from a 3/4 arm slot with loose arm action and works in line towards home plate. With the bat, Dominic shows an athletic setup with smooth rhythm to load. His lower 1/2 is firm as he whips his barrel fast through the zone and sprays pitches to all parts of the field. Overall abilities in his game will improve with work on the following.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
