Dominic continues to work hard. At 2B, he fields the ball cleanly and plays through toward his target. He follows this throws to 1B as well as when turning the DP which helps with accuracy. At the plate, he shows good rhythm and gets back into a loaded position. He finds the barrel and squares the ball up. Creating more extension through contact will help to increase pop off of his barrel. Iemma is a few minor adjustments away from unlocking his potential.
10/06/2013 - College PREP - Trenton, NJ
Dominic continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities, especially at the plate where he has improved the most through a squared, crouched setup. Hands are quick, flashing bat speed through a level swing path. He works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields with the baseball jumping off the bat when centered. Power numbers will continue to improve as he loads and use his lower half more. At 2B, he uses his quick feet well in his lateral movement, displaying range in the MIF as he plays with a lot of energy. For defensive grade to continue to improve, he needs to play through balls more while presenting hands more out front. Throws are accurate, flashing carry but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program.
