07/27/2021 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 (HS) Dominic is a coachable 3B/RHP prospect who showed well during the National World Series at Pirate City. In the field, Dominic shows efficient footwork and moves well laterally. He gets into a square position and fields the ball out in front with a firm glove. His exchange is clean and he gets rid of the ball quickly, making accurate throws with carry through target. At the plate, this RHH shows an advanced approach through an open setup. He gets into a simple load and is explosive driving his lower half through. He stays compact through the ball and produces great pull side power. On the mound, Dominic gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a loose arm and extends through his release, finishing with his chest over his front knee. Dominic operates with a two pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 83mph with tailing action. Breaking ball sits from 65-68mph with 10-4 break. Overall, Dominic is a talented prospect who has the skill set to contribute at the next level.

03/28/2021 - All-In Membership - Minneapolis, MN Dominic is an athletic 3B/RHP prospect with a strong overall skill set. In the field, Dominic moves light on his feet and fields in a square position. He gains ground well on his throws and fires the ball across the diamond with carry through his target (90mph raw arm velo). At the plate, this RHH shows an advanced approach through an athletic setup. He is smooth to load and drives through well with his lower half. He works through a short swing with explosive bat speed, leading to loud contact and great pull side power (91mph exit velo). On the mound, Dominic gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a loose arm and extends through his release, finishing with a controlled landing. Dominic shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 82mph. Breaking ball sits from 61-63mph with 11-5 break. Changeup sits from 67-69mph with sinking action as he throws with deceptive arm speed. Overall, Dominic is a talented prospect who has the potential to contribute at the next level.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
