05/30/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Avon (Cleveland), OH Dominic is a 2021 catcher out of Columbus, Ohio. Behind the plate, feet are active as he works in line through a clean transfer/exchange as he gets rid of the baseball quickly. Pop times show in the 2.3 range with accuracy and carry on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. He shows a squared setup and presents a soft mitt out front and utilizes his body through the blocking process but needs to get his body down sooner. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. Dominic has abilities with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
