07/29/2019 - Interactive Video Program - York, PA Dominic showed nice improvements in several areas during his last workout with The Factory. Exit velocity increased to 77 MPH, 60 time lowered to 7.25 seconds, and hitting grades spiked. On the mound, Dominic has good size, a loose/free arm circle, and he separates his hands on time. He works well to his balance point, lands with good direction toward home plate, and competes in the zone. In the OF, Dominic showed active footwork to the ball, solid range, and he makes plays with an accurate arm to his target. Offensively, Dominic has a square/athletic set-up, good balance, and he swings in good rhythm. He has a short/direct barrel, fast bat speed, and he uses his lower body. Dominic can continue to improve with work on the following.

07/06/2018 - Cape Cod Select Training & Competition (Ages 12-14) Dominic showed well in the Cape both on the mound and behind the plate. On the bump, he keeps his eyes on target, his arm is clean and efficient, and he works well to his balance point. He has athletic actions, a complete finish, and he competes in the zone. Behind the plate, Dominic has a lean frame, presentable hands, and his feet are active. He holds a low target, his exchange is clean, and he throws with momentum and consistency to his target. At the plate, Dominic has a clean/rhythmic swing, an athletic set-up, and a line drive approach. He makes consistent contact and flashes some pop in his bat.

03/11/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Bel Air (Baltimore), MD Dominic is a tall, thin, 2-way player who catches and pitches. Behind the plate, Dominica sticks the ball well, his hands are soft, and he takes good angles to block. He covers the 5 hole well, has a clean exchange, and throws with accuracy from a loose arm action to his target. On the mound Dominic has a solid/repeatable delivery, good direction, and a loose/free arm action. Offensively, Dominic has a tall set-up, a proper load, and pop into the gaps. He swings on plane, makes square contact, and can spray to all fields. Dominic can improve overall skills with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
