07/12/2013 - Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's Team One South Dominick is a talented two way player with balance in all areas of his game. On the mound, he has a fastball in the mid to low 80's with a 12/6 curveball that he can throw for a strike. He has an over the top delivery with some downhill action, has a clean arm path on the back half and a quick clean arm path on the front side. He changes speeds without sacrificing command and consistently competes in the zone. As an OF, he gets behind the ball before playing through with effective footwork to throw, stays in line with good direction and has a throwing arm that produces accurate throws with carry. At the plate, Dominick has balance throughout his swing, is simple to the ball and can effectively hit the ball to all fields. He has nice rhythm in his hands and should continue to work at keeping his load simple and his top hand strong to the ball. Overall, Dominick has the potential and versatile skill set that coaches at the next level are looking for and should continue to work hard while being detailed in his preparation.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
