08/01/2018 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Donald is a long, lean two-way player who has made significant improvements in his game. He shows off a smooth, repeatable delivery on the mound that leads to low stress on his arm and the ability to get to a consistent release point. He works fast with an over the top arm stroke to drive the ball down in the zone and induce weak contact. His fastball reaches the mid 70's with sink and he complements it with a 12-6 curveball with good break. In the outfield, he has efficient footwork and takes good routes and angles to extend his range and track down balls in the gaps. He has a quick exchange and release to throw with a strong, accurate arm to his target. At the dish, he loads to a stacked position and has strong, quick hands through the zone. His path is level and direct to make consistent, square contact and use all fields. Working on getting stronger will allow his tools to play up and make him an impact player. Donald is a player we definitely want to keep watching as he develops.
