12/27/2021 - Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic Douglas is a class of 2024 SS/2B. In the field, he showed his quick twitch again and got very good reads off the bat. He was able to stay low and work beneath the baseball. He did a good job taking care of the baseball on the transfer before creating momentum to deliver on time and accurate throws across the diamond. At the plate, he showed lots of feel for the barrel and looked very comfortable in the box. He showed a clean and repeatable swing. He did a good job staying balanced throughout the swing and incorporates his lower ½ well. In game action he went 1-8 with a HBP. Douglas is a good prospect who plays the game hard we cannot wait to see him again in the spring..

07/27/2021 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 (HS) Douglas is a SS prospect who worked hard on his skills during the National World Series at Pirate City. Ran a 6.96 60-yard dash. In the field, Douglas shows a good ready position with ability to make routine plays. Starts with quick/active footwork with a good first step. He fields from an athletic position and has a clean exchange, and creates momentum to his target. Throws are accurate from an over-the-top release point with an arm velocity up to 71mph. Showed good touch on his DP feeds. A long toss and J-band program will help with arm strength. At the plate, this right-handed hitter hits from an athletic and closed stance. Starts with a comfortable hand set and a centered glide step to his contact point. Short/direct hand path, with a flat barrel, enables him to hit line drives to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 74mph. Overall, Douglas is a solid prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

05/02/2021 - All-In Membership - Reno, NV Douglas is a class of 2024 prospect at the SS position. At the plate, he does a good job of staying in his legs throughout the swing. Works the barrel towards the center of the field and gets extension. Shows an advanced line drive focused approach. In the field, he shows active feet pre pitch. Does a good job working downhill on the baseball. Fields from a square position before delivering accurate throws across the diamond. Douglas is a fun and energetic prospect to watch. We hope to see him again in the future.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
