11/03/2018 - 2018 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's Futures Texas This athletic RHH MIF shows a tremendous future on the diamond with the makings of a special type player at the next level. A leadoff type hitter, hands are quick (93 mph exit velocity) as he squares the ball up consistently driving it on a line with gap to gap pop. A threat to steal once on base, he has outstanding speed (6.81 60 time). Defensively, he takes a quick first step and has plus lateral range. He creates angles around the GB with fluid actions. DP turns are quick with zip (88 mph velocity) on his throws. Defensive abilities are superior as he shows big play potential. With 2 years to further develop, Drew has a ton of upside and possesses the skill set that will play at a very high level.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
