03/18/2018 - College PREP - Kannapolis (Charlotte), NC Duncan is a skinny and talented 2020 2-way player. In the OF, Duncan has an active prep step and takes good routes to the ball. He fields the ball in front of his body and works behind the ball well. At the plate, Duncan starts in a squared stance and has fluid pre-pitch movement. He stays balanced through contact and keeps the barrel on plane with the ball. On the bump, Duncan gathers over the rubber, separates on time, and finishes with his chest over his front knee. Duncan will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
