12/27/2016 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 Dustin is a big, solid 3B who has a promising future on the diamond. At the plate is where he shows best, displaying solid hitting abilities with well above average power potential through an open setup. Hands are quick (89 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive approach. He works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap to gap pop. Lower half works well through the swing and he shows a solid feel for the barrel with the baseball exploding off the bat when centered. At the event, he was 3 for 6 with 2 2B. At 3B, feet are active / aggressive as he attacks balls and plays through a low approach. Glove action is clean and he presents well out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. Throws are accurate but will benefit building more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and is a great team player. Dustin has a lot of potential with time and room to continue to progress his game.
