07/12/2019 - Interactive Video Program - San Marcos (San Diego), CA Dusty is a lean, 2-way player who plays SS and RHP. Defensively, Dusty fields athletically, feet are efficient, and he funnels the baseball well. He covers ground, makes plays, and throws with consistency and momentum across the diamond. On the mound, Dusty has good balance, a clean arm action, and he separates his hands on time. He keeps a still head, has a controlled landing toward home, and works on a downhill plane. At the plate, Dusty has a square/athletic stance, good balance, and he works the middle of the field. He swings on plane, makes level contact, and uses his lower body. Overall skills can continue to get better with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
