09/03/2021 - Baseball Factory's All-Region Tournament (HS) Dylan is a class of 2023 1B/LHP prospect. He shows off a physical frame and room to continue to develop athletically. On the mound, he shows decent mechanics. Works downhill and does a good job rotating towards the plate. Shows the ability to throw 3 pitches for strikes. Fastball works up to 74 MPH with some slight action. Showed a breaking ball with 1-7 shape and tight spin. Also flashed a changeup in the 62-66 MPH range. At the plate, he showed the ability to drive the ball to the opposite field. Also consistently created hard contact with exit velos up to 83 MPH. In the field, he shows good pre-pitch actions and good footwork. Dylan is a talented player with room to continue to develop.

12/11/2020 - Baseball Factory Academic All-American Tournament Dylan is a solid (6’2"/175 lb) two-way prospect (1B/LHP) who showed well at the Academic All-America Tournament. At the plate, Dylan stands tall and athletic in the box with comfortable hands. With an on-time and smooth swing, he uses his lower half to generate power to produce consistent contact and line drives. At 1B, Dylan fields his position well. He moves well around the 1B bag with good hands and the ability to pick it. From the mound, this lefty shows a 3-pitch mix (FB/CB/CH) with the ability to command the ball. He builds off his FB (69-71 mph) with a deceptive CH (62 mph) that has sinking action, followed by a CB (62-62 mph) with tight spin. This 2023 grad has a solid skill-set with a ton of upside.

09/04/2020 - HS All-Region Tournament Dylan is an athletic 1B/LHP who will graduate in 2023. At 1B, he displays proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. Glove action is clean but needs to present more out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are quick (82 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 68-71 mph. Breaking ball displays 2/8 shape with gradual break. Control is outstanding as he attacks hitters and throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

05/05/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Henrico (Richmond), VA Dylan is a tall, solid, 2-way player who plays 1B and LHP. Defensively, Dylan has active feet, presentable hands, and he fields low and athletically. He has good size, keeps the ball in front of his body, and throws with accuracy and carry to his target. On the mound, Dylan has good balance, he separates on time, and lands with a proper length stride toward home plate. He finishes in a complete position, and is around the zone with his pitches. At the plate, Dylan has a square/athletic set-up, good balance, and he loads well. He has a level/direct barrel, makes hard/consistent contact, and he uses some lower body. Dylan can continue to improve overall skills with work on the following

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
