12/27/2019 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 14-18)
Dylan is an athletic and hard working middle infield prospect that has a high baseball IQ. At SS, Dylan is on time with his prep step, he presents a low/early glove, and plays through the ball. He has a good first step to the ball and shows range on both sides of the glove. He needs to continue exchange the ball in front of his body and get into a proper throwing position. At the plate, Dylan starts in an open stance, he loads his hands back, and gets his front foot down on time. He stays balanced at contact and has a middle approach. Continuing to create backside drive and will improve his ability to get his hands inside the ball. Dylan will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.
11/17/2019 - National Tryout Plus - Marlborough (Boston), MA
Dylan showed nice improvements in his overall game during his last workout. He increased arm velocity to 84 MPH, exit velocity to 81 MPH, and showed offensive and defensive upgrades. At SS, Dylan has fluid/active feet, agile movements, and soft hands. He fields in a low/square position, he makes plays smoothly, and throws with momentum and carry from a loose arm across the diamond. Offensively, Dylan has an open stance, good balance, and he swings in good rhythm. He has fast bat speed, good bat whip, and he makes hard contact gap to gap.
01/21/2019 - College PREP - Bradenton (Tampa), FL
Dylan is a lean, athletic SS who has a promising future on the diamond. At SS, he displays smooth / clean actions. Feet are active and he displays proper footwork as he plays through balls with his body. Glove action is soft and presents well out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are loose and work through an aggressive swing path. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. With 3 years to further develop, Dylan has potential with time and room to progress his game.
