05/24/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Keizer (Salem), OR Dylan is an athletic OF prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the field. In the OF, Dylan shows active footwork and moves well to his backhand side. He gets into a square position and fields with a firm glove. He makes a clean exchange and gains ground well on his throws, keeping them consistently on-line to his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a square stride. He is smooth getting back into his load and leads well with his lower half. He takes a level swing with good bat speed, leading to solid contact to his pull side. Overall, Dylan is a solid prospect who has the potential to contribute at the next level.

01/18/2019 - 2019 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Dylan continues to show a promising future on the diamond. In the OF, he continues to shine. He utilizes his quick/aggressive feet as he moves well laterally, displaying range as he covers a ton of ground. He displays smooth/clean actions with hands/feet working well together through the fielding process as he gets rid of the baseball quickly with accuracy on his throws. At the plate, he shows an athletic setup. Hands are quick (83 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He has strength in his swing and shows a feel for the barrel through a line drive approach.

05/13/2018 - National Tryout Plus - Spokane, WA Dylan continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and is a prospect on the diamond. In the OF, defensive abilities are now well above average as he displays smooth/athletic actions. Feet are aggressive as he takes proper routes/angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls and plays through well with momentum to his target. Glove action is soft and he presents well, utilizing two hands through the process. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, he has improved his hitting/power potential through an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work to and through a level swing path. He works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap pop. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 74 mph. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. He slows arm speed on his changeup, tipping off the pitch to hitters. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. With 3 years to further develop, Dylan has the makings of a special type player with time and room to progress his game.

01/12/2018 - Baseball Factory Spring Training in Arizona (Ages 14-18) Dylan is an athletic SS/RHP who has a promising future on the diamond. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 67-71 mph with tailing action. Braking ball displays 11/5 shape with late/sharp break and shows potential as being a quality pitch. Control is a plus as he throws a lot of strikes and works both sides of the plate. Getting on a long toss program to develop more arm strength will aid in improving abilities on the mound. At SS, he displays smooth/fluid actions. Feet are active/aggressive as he takes good first steps in attacking the baseball. Glove action is soft/clean and presents well out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate he shows an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through a compact swing path. Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
