09/29/2021 - Arizona Senior Fall Classic Dylan is a 2022 prospect out of Lewisville, TX who continues to showcase his baseball tools at the Arizona Senior Fall Classic. He made adjustments throughout his time out there in Arizona. At 3B, he displays smooth/athletic actions. Feet are active as he works around balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. He moves well laterally with range improving as he increases foot quickness. Throws are accurate with carry (86 mph velocity) across the diamond. At the plate, he shows an athletic setup. Hands are quick (90 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap to gap pop. Lower half works well through the swing and shows a feel for the barrel. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable.

07/19/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Highland Park (DFW), TX Dylan is a 3B/RHP prospect who will graduate in 2022. Every time we see Dylan he continues to show improvement in all facets of his game. Tall frame, well-proportioned, athletic build and plenty of physical projection remaining. At 3B, he shows fluid footwork and ability to create good fielding angles. Showed good glove side range and fields out front from an athletic/low fielding position. Ability to pick out hops and shows soft hands. Clean transfer, as he works to target, and throws from a high 3/4 arm slot across the diamond at 86mph. A right-handed pitcher who gathers over the rubber and shows same athleticism on the mound as he does in the field. Throws 3 pitches at 3 different speeds and keeps on target throughout delivery. Clean arm action in back as he works to a high 3/4 release point. Works off a FB that sits 77-79mph with arm side run. Mixed in a 10/4 shaped breaking ball with medium break and plus command. 3rd pitch is a changeup he throws with FB arm speed and some tailing action. The CH was his best pitch during his bullpen and showed some pitchability with this pitch. A right-handed hitter hits from an upright and even stance. Simple swing, with good rhythm, and ability to repeat swing. Square stride, with a some quickness to his hands, and takes an aggressive hack. Good bat angle at contact with good extension through contact. Made square contact to the pull side with a bat exit velocity of 93mph during BP. Another year of growth and development, will bode well for his opportunities at the next level.

06/18/2021 - Baseball Factory All-State Tournament (HS) Dylan continues shine on the diamond. At 3B, defensive abilities are well above average as he displays smooth/fluid actions. Feet are active and he plays through with his body as he attacks balls. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. At the plate, he continues to shine, displaying well above average hitting with excellent power potential through an open setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent contact and has strength with gap to gap pop. On the mound, he gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a loose arm and extends through on his release, staying inline towards the plate. Fastball shows a range of 75-78 mph. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break.

03/21/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Frisco (DFW), TX Dylan continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. At 3B, he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are active as he works around balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is firm and presents out front. He moves well laterally with range improving as he increases foot quickness. At the plate, he continues to shine through a tall, open setup. Hands are quick (92 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap to gap pop. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 72-76 mph with sinking action. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with downward action. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with arm side run / sink. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

01/15/2021 - 2021 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament (TX) This projectable (6'0"/210) 2-way prospect just continues to improve every time that we see him. Offensively, Dylan steps into the box with an aggressive approach and is looking to jump on 1st pitch FB's. Quick hands fire the barrel to and through the zone as he engages his lower 1/2 and drives the ball with pop from gap-to-gap. At 3B, active pre-pitch footwork and athletic actions put him into a good fielding position as he funnels to a clean transfer to throw. He has the ability to make the throw on the run and fire accurately from multiple arm angles. Brown also has the ability to toe the rubber and compete. He maintains fluid tempo, works tall and has smooth separation reaching back and firing from a long/loose arm action. He drives his lower 1/2 off of the rubber and gets strong glove-side lead/tuck. FB shows good arm-side run giving hitters a hard time to square up. BB shows 10/4 shape with good action. Brown is a talented 2-way player who will make an impact in this his junior year.

11/01/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Frisco (DFW), TX Dylan is a strong 3B/RHP prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the field. At 3B, Dylan makes the routine plays and works to keep his throws accurate to his target. Getting into a more athletic fielding position can help Dylan field ground balls more efficiently. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a tall stance with center balance. He gets good extension through the ball and drives to his pull side. Dylan can barrel up more baseballs by taking a shorter swing path. On the mound, Dylan gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a clean arm and extends through his release, staying inline toward the plate. Dylan shows a four pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 72mph. Curveball sits from 61-63mph with 11-5 break. Changeup sits from 65-66mph. Slider sits from 65-66mph with good movement. Overall, Dylan is a solid prospect who has the potential to further develop his skills on the field.

09/30/2020 - Arizona Junior Fall Classic Dylan continues to impress with the bat and did so again at the Arizona Fall Classic. At the plate, this solid righty continues to shine through a tall/open setup. He gets his hands activated back into a strong launch position and is ready to jump on pitches he likes. Barrel delivery is quick/aggressive as he connects with strength and sends the ball to the deep parts of the park (94 mph exit velocity). At 3B, he displays smooth/clean actions. Feet are active as attacks GB's and plays through well with his body. Glove action is soft/sure and presents well out front. Throws are accurate with carry across the diamond. On the mound, delivery is sound/repeatable as he shows good tempo through a strong balance point, allowing his arm action to work quick and free to the plate. Fastball shows a range of 74-76 mph. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. Dylan is a versatile athlete who can make things happen in a multitude of ways on the diamond.

09/12/2020 - Fall Pro Training Experience - TX (HS) Dylan continues to show as a prospect on the diamond. At 3B, he displays smooth actions. Feet are active as he works to square balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. Throws are accurate. At the plate, he continues to shine through an open setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap pop. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 74-75 mph with sinking action. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. Feet are active as he works around balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents out front. Throws have carry to his target but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, power potential is excellent through a tall setup. Hands are quick (84 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He has strength in his swing with power showing best to the pull side.

01/05/2020 - College PREP - San Antonio, TX Dylan is a 3B/RHP prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the field. At 3B, Dylan shows active footwork and centers the ball in the middle of his body. He fields the ball out in front and makes a clean exchange, keeping his throws consistently on-line to his target. Getting into a square fielding position can help Dylan improve defensively. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an open stance and takes a square stride. He gets into his load and drives through well with his lower half. He takes a direct swing with fast bat speed, leading to solid pop and line drives. Dylan can improve as a hitter by being more controlled getting into his load. On the, mound Dylan gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a clean arm and stays inline towards the plate, finishing square to his target. Dylan shows a four pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 76mph with arm side run and sinking action. Curveball sits from 62-64mph with 10-4 break. Slider sits from 66-67mph with good movement. Changeup sits from 65-68mph with sinking action as he throws with deceptive arm speed. Consistently extending through his release can help Dylan improve as a pitcher. Overall, Dylan is a solid prospect who has the potential to further develop his skills on the field.

12/14/2019 - Texas Regional Offensive Skills and Pitching/Catching Combined Weekend (Ages 14-18) Dylan is a coachable RHP/3B prospect who worked hard on his skills during the Accelerated Training Weekend. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a tall stance with center balance. He takes a level swing with fast bat speed, leading to loud contact and solid raw power. Working a smoother load into his swing can help Dylan improve as a hitter. Overall, Dylan is a solid prospect who has the potential to further develop his skills on the field.

09/25/2019 - Arizona Sophomore Fall Classic Dylan continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. At 3B, he displays smooth/clean actions. He's able to attack balls and play through well with his body. Glove action is soft/sure and presents well out front. At the plate, hitting/power potential have improved through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (85 mph exit velocity) and works through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. At the event, he was 4 for 6 with a 2B. On the mound, his fastball was at 72-73 mph. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup but needs to develop more movement on pitch. Control is solid as throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a great personality, is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

06/22/2019 - Omaha National World Series - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Dylan is an athletic 2022 3B prospect that was very coachable and eager to learn all week. He made several adjustments with his pre-pitch movement and learned to be on time for the ball. He has a good first step to the ball and plays through his backhand. He shows plus range and makes the routine play. He has good footwork on double plays, makes good feeds, and throws from multiple arm angles. At the plate, Dylan starts in an open stance and makes consistent hard contact. He shows pop to the pull side and hits off a firm front side. He needs to continue to load his hands back, create backside drive with his lower half, and stay back on the ball. Attacking the inside part of the ball and keeping the head down at contact will improve his contact rate. Dylan is a hard worker and we hope to see his progress in the future.

02/17/2019 - College PREP - Highland Park (DFW), TX Dylan is an athletic 3B/RHP who graduates in 2022. At, 3B he displays clean/smooth actions. Feet are aggressive as he attacks balls but needs to play through more with his body. Glove action is clean but will benefit by presenting more out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields and has strength in his swing with gap-to-gap pop. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 67-71 mph. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with early break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup but throws too hard, resembling fastball. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. With 3 years to further develop, Dylan has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
