06/29/2016 - 2016 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's National South Dylan is a powerful backstop with a tremendous future on the diamond. With flexion and good sway he pockets pitches with a soft/sure mitt. Pop times remain in the low 2.00 range. At the plate, Dylan has fluid rhythm while getting good hand separation. Barrel is whipped through the zone as he connects with strength. The ball jumps off of his barrel as he crushes it to the gaps. A talented prospect - he will make things happen both behind the dish as well as with the bat.

02/22/2015 - College PREP - Dayton, OH Dylan continues to shine on the diamond. With the bat, this righty works back into a strong loaded position with good leverage. Swing is quick to and through the zone as he connects with strength and drives through the ball with extension. He will fit in the middle of the line-up and will be a run producer. Behind the plate, Dylan has quick footwork and moves well around pitches in the dirt. He centers the ball with a soft chest, deadening it in front. Pop times are now as low as 2.02 as he has a quick transfer/exchange, putting his throws on the bag. Only a 2017 grad - Dylan has a ton of upside with a very bright future ahead of him.

12/27/2014 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 Dylan is a very motivated, hard working catcher. Behind the plate, he tracks the ball very well, deadens the ball when blocking, and is quick to recover. Dylan will continue to lower his pop times as he works to get a quicker, more fluid exchange. At the plate, he has quick hands to the ball, swings on a level plane, and uses his lower very well. Dylan will become a better hitter as he learns to be on-time and get extension through the ball.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "present" abilities (tools), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year, using the scale below. However, grades 10-18 are not available for use with High School players (ages 14-18), while grades 55-70 are not available for use with Pre High School players (ages 12-14). These instances are marked as "--- N/A ---" in the "Description" fields below.
